Booking & Payment
- Full payment is required to secure your flight ticket.
- Flight vouchers are valid only for the period stated on the ticket. If you fail to take reasonable steps to fly within this timeframe, the voucher will be forfeited without refund.
Voucher Extensions
- Vouchers can be extended for 12 months beyond the expiry date for a £50 per person fee.
- In exceptional cases, such as pregnancy, we may extend the validity free of charge. All extension requests must be made before the voucher expires.
- Free extensions are available if you have booked and been weather-cancelled at least four times within the voucher’s validity period.
- Extensions are granted on a rolling month-by-month basis—you must book a flight at least once per month for continued validity.
Refunds & Cancellations
- Vouchers are not redeemable for cash, and refunds are only considered in exceptional circumstances.
- Refund requests must be made in writing and, if granted, will incur a £50 administrative fee per passenger.
- Balloon Fiesta flight vouchers will automatically convert to a standard group flight or private flight voucher (dependent on which was purchased) if the Fiesta flight does not take place. These remain valid for 12 months, but no price difference will be refunded.
- Once you check in (typically the morning before your flight or Friday morning for weekend flights), cancellations are not accepted. However, substitute passengers are allowed.
Flight Rescheduling & Weather Conditions
- If your flight is postponed due to weather or safety reasons, First Flight is not responsible for any inconvenience or additional expenses incurred. The flight will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient date.
- If external restrictions (beyond our control) force us to suspend flying during the main season, voucher validity will be extended accordingly.
- The final decision to fly rests solely with the pilot, who will never compromise safety.
Passenger Responsibilities & Restrictions
- Any passenger under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances will not be permitted to fly. No refund or rebooking will be offered.
- In certain weather conditions, we may need to use an alternative launch site at short notice. If this is an issue, please inform us before booking.
- Failure to arrive on time for a booked flight will result in forfeiting the flight without refund.
- Passengers must inform First Flight of any relevant medical conditions before booking.
Safety, Insurance & Liability
- First Flight operates under an approved CAA license (DBO 096) and follows strict safety guidelines.
- We carry insurance coverage of at least £2 million for passengers and third parties. However, personal possessions are carried at the owner’s risk.
- Vehicles parked at the meeting point are left at your own risk. We are not liable for any loss or damage unless caused by our negligence.
Final Agreement
- These Terms & Conditions form the complete agreement between you and First Flight. Any variations must be agreed in writing.
